These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaners Bromley provides professional cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. By booking or accepting any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.
In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings given below:
Client means the person, firm or company booking the services or on whose behalf the booking is made.
Service or Services means carpet, upholstery, rug and related cleaning or ancillary services provided by Carpet Cleaners Bromley.
Technician means an employee, contractor, or authorised representative of Carpet Cleaners Bromley who carries out the services.
Premises means the property or location where the services are to be performed.
Carpet Cleaners Bromley provides scheduled and one-off cleaning services for carpets, rugs, upholstery and associated items. The specific services to be provided will be agreed at the time of booking. Any additional work requested on site is subject to availability, assessment by the technician, and additional charges.
All services are subject to an initial inspection of the premises and items to be cleaned. The technician will assess the condition, fabric type, access, and any visible issues. Any advice given before inspection is indicative only and does not constitute a guarantee of results.
3.1 Bookings can be made by the client through Carpet Cleaners Bromley using the available booking channels. When placing a booking, the client must provide accurate details including the service address, type and approximate size of areas or items to be cleaned, preferred dates and times, and any relevant access information.
3.2 All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Carpet Cleaners Bromley. A booking is not considered confirmed until the client receives explicit confirmation. Carpet Cleaners Bromley reserves the right to decline a booking or to propose alternative dates or times where necessary.
3.3 The client is responsible for ensuring that there is suitable parking close to the premises for the technician’s vehicle, including any permits or instructions required. If paid parking is the only option, the cost may be added to the final invoice.
3.4 The client must inform Carpet Cleaners Bromley at the time of booking of any special requirements, access restrictions, or conditions that may affect the performance of the services, such as limited water supply, restricted access to certain floors, security procedures, or the presence of pets.
4.1 The client must ensure that the technician has safe and unobstructed access to the premises and to all areas and items to be cleaned. Fragile, breakable or valuable items should be removed or protected prior to the technician’s arrival.
4.2 The client is responsible for providing electricity and a suitable water supply where required for the services. In the event that such utilities are not available on arrival, Carpet Cleaners Bromley may treat the visit as a late cancellation and charge accordingly.
4.3 The client must inform the technician of any known issues with carpets, floors, furnishings, fittings, or utilities, including previous damage, loose fittings, unstable flooring, colour instability, or previous treatments that may react to cleaning methods.
4.4 Children and pets must be supervised by the client and kept away from work areas during and immediately after cleaning, particularly while carpets and upholstery remain damp.
5.1 Prices are generally based on information provided by the client at the time of booking, including room sizes, number of items, and level of soiling. Any quotation provided prior to inspection is an estimate only and may be adjusted if the actual conditions differ from those described.
5.2 Carpet Cleaners Bromley reserves the right to revise the price on site if the work required is more extensive than initially indicated, if access is particularly difficult, or if additional items are requested for cleaning. In such cases, the technician will inform the client and seek approval before proceeding.
5.3 All prices quoted are inclusive or exclusive of VAT as stated at the time of booking. Where VAT applies, it will be clearly indicated on invoices.
6.1 Payment is due in full on completion of the services, unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in writing in advance. Carpet Cleaners Bromley accepts common payment methods as notified to the client at the time of booking or at the premises.
6.2 For commercial clients or larger projects, Carpet Cleaners Bromley may require a deposit or part payment before work commences. Any such requirement will be notified before the booking is confirmed.
6.3 Where payment terms are agreed on account for commercial clients, invoices must be settled within the period stated on the invoice. Late payments may incur interest and administrative charges in accordance with applicable UK law.
6.4 If payment is not received in accordance with these terms, Carpet Cleaners Bromley reserves the right to suspend or cancel future services and may take appropriate steps to recover outstanding sums, including legal action where necessary.
7.1 The client may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice. Carpet Cleaners Bromley requests a minimum notice period, which will be communicated at the time of booking. Where insufficient notice is provided, a cancellation or late rescheduling fee may apply.
7.2 If the technician arrives at the premises at the agreed time and is unable to gain access, or if the client is not present where required and no prior arrangements have been made, Carpet Cleaners Bromley may treat the visit as a late cancellation and apply a call-out or cancellation charge.
7.3 Carpet Cleaners Bromley reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking due to circumstances outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, traffic disruption, vehicle breakdown, staff illness, or safety concerns at the premises. In such cases, the company will offer an alternative appointment at the earliest reasonable opportunity.
8.1 Carpet Cleaners Bromley will carry out the services with reasonable skill and care, using methods and products appropriate to the type and condition of the items being cleaned.
8.2 While every reasonable effort is made to achieve a high standard of cleaning, Carpet Cleaners Bromley does not guarantee that all stains, marks or odours can be removed, or that full restoration to original colour or condition will be possible. Results depend on factors such as age, type of fibre, previous treatments, and the nature and duration of staining.
8.3 The client accepts that some stains are permanent and that excessive wear, sun damage, and pre-existing defects cannot be remedied by cleaning. Where there is a risk of damage from attempting to treat a particular stain or area, the technician may decline to proceed or may request written or verbal confirmation from the client before attempting treatment.
8.4 After cleaning, carpets and upholstery may remain damp for a period depending on ventilation, temperature, and humidity. The client is responsible for ensuring adequate ventilation and for following any drying instructions provided by the technician.
9.1 Carpet Cleaners Bromley operates in accordance with applicable UK health and safety regulations. Technicians will use products and equipment in line with manufacturer guidance and internal procedures.
9.2 The client must not request the use of products or methods that conflict with safety guidelines or legislation. If such a request is made, the technician will refuse and may suspend or terminate the service if health or safety is at risk.
9.3 Any waste generated by the technician during the performance of the services will be dealt with in compliance with relevant waste management and environmental regulations. This may include the appropriate disposal of contaminated water, filters, packaging and consumables.
9.4 The client is responsible for the general household or commercial waste present at the premises. Carpet Cleaners Bromley does not provide a general waste removal service unless expressly agreed as a separate service. Any hazardous materials encountered that fall outside the normal scope of cleaning may lead to suspension of work until they are removed or made safe by the client.
10.1 Carpet Cleaners Bromley maintains appropriate insurance in respect of public liability. Details can be provided on request.
10.2 The client must report any alleged damage or issues arising from the services to Carpet Cleaners Bromley as soon as reasonably practicable and, in any event, within 48 hours of completion of the work. The client must allow reasonable opportunity for inspection and, where applicable, rectification.
10.3 Carpet Cleaners Bromley shall not be liable for:
a. Wear, discolouration or damage that pre-existed before the services were carried out, or which becomes more apparent as a result of cleaning.
b. Colour run, shrinkage, or texture change where the item is not labelled in accordance with recognised care standards, has been previously damaged or incorrectly treated, or where the client failed to disclose relevant information.
c. Any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of opportunity.
10.4 Subject to any rights the client may have under law that cannot be excluded, the total liability of Carpet Cleaners Bromley in respect of any claim arising from the services shall not exceed the total fee paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, or the reasonable cost of repair or replacement of the damaged item, whichever is lower.
11.1 If the client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the services, they should contact Carpet Cleaners Bromley as soon as possible, providing details of the concern and any supporting information.
11.2 Where a complaint is found to be justified, Carpet Cleaners Bromley may, at its discretion, offer a re-clean of the affected area, a partial refund, or other appropriate remedy, having regard to the circumstances and the limitations set out in these terms.
12.1 Carpet Cleaners Bromley collects and uses basic personal data such as names, addresses, and contact details for the purpose of arranging and delivering services, managing accounts, and handling enquiries or complaints.
12.2 Personal information is stored and processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation in the United Kingdom. Data is not sold to third parties and is only shared where necessary for the fulfilment of services, legal compliance, or legitimate business purposes.
13.1 Carpet Cleaners Bromley shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, strikes or industrial disputes, public utility failures, or government restrictions.
14.1 Carpet Cleaners Bromley reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any revised terms will apply to bookings made after the date of publication of the updated version.
14.2 The terms applicable to a particular booking are those in force at the time the booking is confirmed, unless changes are required by law or regulatory authority.
15.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
15.2 The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter.
16.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable by a court or other competent authority, such provision shall be severed from the remaining provisions, which shall continue to be valid and enforceable.
16.2 No failure or delay by Carpet Cleaners Bromley in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall constitute a waiver of that right or remedy, nor shall it prevent or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy.
16.3 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Carpet Cleaners Bromley and the client in relation to the provision of services, and supersede any previous agreements, understandings or arrangements, whether written or oral.
